Bucerias Area

Nicknamed “BCrias” for the amount of Canadians from British Columbia that reside here in the winter. Bucerias is a beachside town with nearly 12,000 full time residents, which swells to many times that amount in the winter. The North and South half are divided by a dry river bed (except in summer when water flows through it) adorned by what the locals call “Puente del Beso” – the kissing bridge. You kiss for good luck when you walk over it. Both sides feature dozens of restaurants and shops, activities, nice beaches you can walk on for many kilometres. The town itself sprawls out a few kilometres but the main shopping and restaurant district extends 7 to 8 blocks wide by 3 blocks deep on the beach side of the highway. Over 50 restaurants, several excellent bakeries, little corner stores, and just a few minutes from Bucerias is the MEGA shopping plaza with several banks, a giant grocery store, department store, pharmacy, chiropractor, yoga classes, gelato, food court, Lake Fitness Center, GNC Health store, blinds store, clothing shops. Different types of restaurants: Thai, Japanese, Chinese, French, Italian, Mexican, Mediterranean, American, and more
